Have you ever wondered how to get rid of yearly 187 billion cardboard food and drink packages? Whereas industry has no problems producing a multi-layered package made of paper, plastics and aluminum, the problem of separating and re-using these materials is not solved yet.

Anders Byström from Sweden used a rotary kiln to separate food packages and as a result, he obtained clean aluminium foils and dust.

The separation tecnology has been finetuned and is available at the Politecnico di Torino. However, there is still a lack of putting it into practice. The packages could be collected on local waste dumps in order to recycle the raw materials. Several cash flows could be generated following the spirit of the Blue Economy: you get paid for waste collection, relieving the strain on landfills, for the recycled raw materials and even for publicity.

Every year in the world are cut down hundred millions trees for manufacturing of wooden boxes what to transport their fruits!!! We suggest replacing wooden boxes, for transportation of fruit and vegetables in agrarian sector with the portable polymeric boxes of repeated use made of secondary polymeric materials. This model can be used to reduce cutting down of woods and ecological pollution, to open many workplaces for young and older persons in the various countries.
