Have you ever wondered how a refrigerator works? The technique is based on a heat exchange. A gas absorbs heat, and leaves the cold behind. Still, the cooling of buildings represents a major source of energy INefficiency.
Buildings are typically positioned to the South, as to avoid too much heat accumulation. However, instead blocking out the heat, we should absorb heat with a black wall. Why? Black conducts can channel the air horizontally, guided by conductive aluminum foils. The warm air rises upwards through a shaft that accumulates the heat. A fan, powered by the force of expanding air, distributes the heat through the building.
In summer, the system lets the hot air flow through a heat exchanger. The hotter the air, the more heat can be extracted, the cooler it can get. The air in the summer will get very hot. The surplus energy can be even be converted to electricity. Having cold and warm air solely using a black wall, with hardly any moving parts builds on the laws of physics and is cost effective.
