Received an interesting request today from a company in Zimbabwe interested in establishing a Social Stock Exchange in sub-saharan Africa.

I know too little about regulations, capital markets and stability of the law in Zimbabwe to guess at the feasibility, but I found it fascinating that private equity firms there see the need for such an exchange! The product portfolio they have in mind is similar to what we are planning. Plus social ventures as a driver for economic development would do many countries a lot of good.

Will keep you up to date if this becomes more concrete!
